# 32S2 Gomez line list

This dataset contains an ExoMol-style representation of the HITRAN S2 line list.

## States file

The states file contains the following columns:

1. `ID`: state ID
2. `E`: state energy in cm-1
3. `gtot`: total state degeneracy
4. `J`: total angular momentum quantum number
5. `unc`: estimated state energy uncertainty in cm-1
6. `tau`: radiative lifetimes
7. `State`: electronic state label
8. `v`: vibrational quantum number
9. `N`: rotational quantum number excluding spin
10. `F_i`: triplet spin component label

The electronic state labels are written as:

## Predissociation linewidths

This S2 line list requires predissociation linewidths for the published treatment. These linewidths are not ordinary pressure-broadening parameters, so `num_pressure_broadeners` is set to 0 and `predis` is set to true in the definition file.

Spectra calculated without applying the predissociation linewidth treatment should be regarded as approximate and will not fully reproduce the published treatment. The predissociation linewidth treatment should be applied using the supplementary predissociation code associated with the source paper: Gomez, F. M., Hargreaves, R. J., and Gordon, I. ## Partition function

The partition function file is copied directly from the HITRAN/QT source file.
